Mountain resort
Are you planning a relaxing escapade in a mountain resort for this winter season? In this article, we’ll highlight the essential things you should carry with you when you’re planning a trip to a mountain resort.
First things first – clothing
Winters in Romania are pretty chilly, especially in a mountain resort such as Poiana Brasov. That means your outfit should include clothes that keep you warm such as a winter jacket, snowproof pants, thick socks, sweaters or thermal blouses, hand gloves, a buff or a scarf, and a beanie.
Footwear
If your activities include walking around the mountain resort, then a pair of regular winter boots should be enough to keep you warm and provide you enough adherence when it comes to the icy sidewalks.
If you’re into hiking, then of course a pair of hiking boots is needed so that you won’t get in trouble with the big amounts of snow on your trail, keep your feet dry for as long as possible, and reduce the risk of slipping.
A few more things to consider if you’re planning a hike in the mountains
Especially when you’re hiking, it would be great to have a backpack so that you can carry water with you, some snacks, a headlamp or a flashlight, and depending on the duration of your hike, some extra piece of clothing such as a thermal blouse or socks and nutritious food.
